🎨 Illustration : Being present; being aware
Are you living in the present moment?
It all begins with a realisation that time is made up of inifinite amount of ‘Nows’
Right now you are reading this, afterwards you will do some other thing. But you can be aware of this moment and enhance your perception and focus during this moment.
For those who practice sitting in stillness and simply closing their senses, there comes a moment when everything momentarily shuts down. They are not taking any information from this world, their mind is not thinking about anything. But you are aware about it.
You may be disconnected from your thoughts. from your feelings and you may have no desire to physically move, yet you are aware about something.
This happens to me around an hour mark when I sit down in complete silence. Like everything has stopped for me, and then I reconnect with the outside world.
People have different definitions for mindfulness, I prefer writing my own definitions only after practicing something.
To me being aware of that still, internal world at any particular moment, while doing any task is being mindful.
This happens to me only in the present moment.
So as a reminder, I ask you to sit in stillness, shutting down your sensory world.
Let your inner world take over.
I hope this helps you and makes your Yogic Practice simple.
